This English edition contains the four papers by Freud which are in the public domain (from the authorized translation of “Selected Papers on Hysteria and Other Psychoneuroses”, 1909): the Preliminary Communication, the case histories of Miss Lucy R. and Miss Elisabeth v. R., and the paper on psychotherapy. The contributions of Josef Breuer and the remaining case histories (Anna O., Emmy v. N., Katharina) are not yet available in English.
