THERAPY

Family Therapy

Clinical work with couple conflicts, communication crises and restoring the family system Clinical work with couple conflicts, communication crises and restoring the family system

PROBLEM AREAS

Who Is This Therapy For?

A contact crisis, loss of trust, a cycle of conflicts — each of these can be resolved

01

Recurring Conflicts

Repeated arguments on the same issues with no resolution — they exhaust the family system and distance partners from each other.

02

Communication Breakdown

Partners do not hear each other, cannot express feelings, and live in silent tension.

03

Trust Crisis

Infidelity, hidden truths or old wounds have dealt a serious blow to the relationship.

04

On the Brink of Divorce

Partners are considering separation but want to know whether the family can be saved.

05

Parenting Tension

There are disagreements between partners regarding the upbringing and discipline of children.

06

Sexual Incompatibility

Intimacy issues are left unspoken, deepening emotional distance.

METHODOLOGY

How Does Therapy Work?

A structured, evidence-based process built in four clearly defined stages

1

Diagnostic Session

At the first meeting, each partner's perspective is assessed individually. The depth and dynamics of the problem are identified.

2

Joint Action Plan

Goals are set together with the therapist. Specific behavioural patterns to be changed are agreed upon.

3

Active Sessions

Each session practises real communication tools. The couple learns to talk about solutions, not about the conflict.

4

Consolidation and Closure

Positive changes are consolidated and both partners are given tools to continue independently.

Q&A

Frequently asked questions

The questions asked most about therapy and training. The questions asked most often about therapy and training — with precise answers.

Can I come alone, or must we come as a couple?

You can come alone. The work usually begins with one side reaching out. In the systemic approach, a change in one participant’s behaviour sets the whole family system in motion. The partner can join later — that speeds things up, but it is not a condition.

How many sessions are needed?

The number of stages is set after the joint intake. In a crisis the first result is usually visible after 4–6 sessions; restoring a relationship takes longer. The exact number is given at the intake.

Is the online format as effective as in person?

In couple therapy the online format follows the same protocol. The only difference is the price — an online session costs less. In the training programme there is no difference at all: the price is the same in person and online.

Does what we say stay confidential?

Yes. What is said in the individual stage is not automatically disclosed to the partner — what goes into the joint session is agreed with you. That is the core condition of the individual stage.

Do I need a psychology degree to join the training?

A degree is not required. The programme is for psychologists, school psychologists, teachers, coaches, students and parents. Those with a psychology background have wider options: graduates may offer counselling at our centre.

What document is issued at the end?

The course ends with an exam and a certificate from the International Psychotherapy Accreditation Society (IPAS).

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. 200 AZN a month × 3 months, or 500 AZN paid in full in advance. BirBank, TamKart, BolKart, WorldKart and bank transfer are accepted.
